Delhi: The Indian team for Champions Trophy 2025 may be announced in the next few days. All teams have to announce their 15-member team by January 12, although the possibility of changes in this team will remain till February 13. In such a situation, the selectors can hold a meeting to select the Indian team.

There will be tough competition for wicketkeeper

A big question is being raised regarding the wicketkeeper in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025. At this time there will be a competition between three wicketkeepers, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Sanju Samson. The selectors will be able to include only two wicketkeepers in the team, and the question is which of them will not be in the team.

Great performance by KL Rahul

KL Rahul had recently proved his ability in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Rahul scored 452 runs at an average of 75.33, due to which his place in the Indian team is considered almost certain. Now there will be a competition between Pant and Samson for the second wicketkeeper.

Battle between Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant

Sanju Samson performed brilliantly last year and scored three centuries. However, he remained sitting on the bench in the T20 World Cup 2024. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant has played only one ODI in the last two years. Despite this, Pant seems more likely to be selected in the team. Now it will be interesting to see which wicketkeeper the selectors will choose and who will be out of the team.
