Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given information about the schedule and stadiums of the Women’s World Cup 2025. This tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November this year. This time the 50-over World Cup will be in five different stadiums in India and Sri Lanka.

This will be the 13th edition of the World Cup. Eight teams will participate in it – India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Australia is the previous champion and has won the title seven times so far.

The first match in India will play India’s team at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 30 September. This was followed by ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam and R. of Colombo. Premdasa Stadium will also be part of this tournament.

The first semi -finals will be held on 29 October in Guwahati or Colombo while the second semi -final will be played in Bengaluru on 30 October. The final match will be held on 2 November in Bengaluru or Colombo.

ICC chairman Jai Shah expressed his trust in women’s cricket and said that the popularity of women cricket is increasing rapidly. He hoped that the fans will start preparing for these special tournaments from now on.

Jai Shah said, “There is a lot of enthusiasm among people about women’s cricket and I am confident that these two tournaments will take women’s cricket to new heights.”
