Delhi: Another exciting match between India and Australia is going to start on the Gabba ground from 14th December. Cricket fans are still remembering the brilliant innings of Rishabh Pant four years ago, which gave India a historic victory on this ground. In that match, Pant led Team India to victory with his unbeaten inning of 89 runs. He later revealed that Rohit Sharma had explained the importance of this innings.

AUS vs IND: Rohit will play at number 6 only, Jaiswal and Rahul will open.

‘Rohit Bhai told the importance of Gaba victory’

Earlier this year, while talking to Star Sports, Pant had said, “I remember one thing about Rohit Bhai. He was watching my reaction, but he wasn’t seeing that much that I was getting excited. He said ‘You don’t know what you have done.’ I said man, we win the match only for the second time. ‘When you leave cricket, then you will understand the importance of this innings, because you yourself don’t know what you have done’, then that is a little good for me, it is good, it is feeling good (it was a good feeling).”

BGT’s journey has not been special so far

However, Pant’s performance in this year’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) has not been anything special so far. He has scored 37, 0, 21 and 28 runs in the first two test matches. Now he is expected to return to form in the Gaba Test.

In the first test, India had registered a spectacular victory by 295 runs in Perth. But, Australia made a comeback in the series by winning by ten wickets in the Adelaide Test. The third match of this series, which is tied at 1-1, will be played in Gaba from 14th December.
